I bought The Crystal Bible a few months ago and my niece was interested in some of the pages I noted, so she asked for a crystal book for Christmas. I decided to give her something to start with because although TCB was very informative, it lacked flow- you would need to know what you’re looking. So here’s Crystal for Beginners, and when I was flipping through it, I couldn’t, help but want to read everything. Now I’m trying to gently read the book before I wrap it for my niece! This book has guidance and flows from one chapter to the other without being overwhelmed with too much information. I wish I bought this book first as it would have gave me a clearer idea of what crystals I needed/wanted and the understanding behind them. This book is truly a great guide. This paves a great impression for crystals and should be the opener to other books like TCB. If I had to choose one, I’d chose this one over the other!
I accidentally downloaded this book, but now realize there are no accidents but divine intervention. I read this book cover to cover, then attended a gem & mineral show. Information in this book helped me focus & balance my energy. I had no knowledge of this subject but was immediately intrigued after getting this book. Now crystals, aroma therapy & meditation is a part of my daily life.

I just recently started gathering a nice collection of stones and crystals. I started with the black tourmaline and it has become an obsession from there. As my collection grows you kind of forget what each stone is helpful for and how you can combine them with others. This is a very straightforward go to and its great for a quick reference. I would recommended this to anyone who is starting out and wanting to learn the basics. Of course this opens up Pandora’s box and I’m so eager to learn more 🙂 Happy meditating!

Excellent guide for crystal beginners such as my self. Suggest going to a shop ex: beach pier shops, cavern shops (i think they have the best selection), museum shops. Pick what you like best “what calls to you” then read book. Will make more sense if you have some crystals to play with. Has excellent definitions, uses, identification chart. My 1st book. I’m in love with it. 🙂
I love that this book goes into details for newbies like me, about cleansing and just about every question I have as a beginner!What I don’t like is it doesn’t give pictures or details into much crystals or types!Great beginner book with details on where to start but I needed another for more info on the crystals!

I bought this as a gift for a very tuned-in 10 year-old. She loves it and has read it from cover to cover! It’s a good first crystal book which has a crystal finder grouped into colours, and introduces the concept of chakras and crystal grids.
I purchased this book for a friends birthday present. I have to say that I was very impressed by how easy it is to read and select the crystal’s details and information. I would really have liked it for myself LOL. I would recommend this book to beginners or those wanting quick and easy reference.
Purchased this for myself and my daughter as we have always been interested in crystals and my daughter wanted to learn.The book is well written and laid out well but seems to lack alot of common/well known crystals,which is a shame as we wanted to learn about them and given it’s a book for beginners it seems odd.Overall it is ok for the price and does have interesting facts and information, just a shame not all the basic crystals are in this book.
