  • Unauthorized publish of NC Department of Secretary of State. Is illegal according to our professor teaching the subject – Notary Public Manual. Even the cover of book is miss spelled – Manuala instead of Manual, North Crolina instead of North Carolina. The list goes on. DO NOT BUY!!!
  • I was originally excited to find this hard cover copy of the NCNPM. However, I did wonder why the quality of the paper and the font was so poor. I later found that this was an unauthorized publishing of the manual. A word to the wise, do not be deceived as I was. Don’t purchase this unauthorized copy of this manual. The content of this book teaches you how to identify fraud!?! Lesson #1, don’t purchase this book!!!
  • We went to a NC Notary class yesterday with this spiffy hard cover books. The very first thing the instructor told us was that they are illegal and fraudulent. I was so very embarrassed!We ended up buying the soft cover books from the State so we could apply to be public notaries as one of the requirements is owning the book.I am so disappointed in amazon and the seller for selling us fraudulent books.
  • According to NC Notary, this manual is a forgery. If you notice, the word “manual” is incorrectly spelled “manulal”.
  • DO NOT BUY.I received an email from the school warning about on line counterfeit book which cannot be used in the classroom. I happened to open the package once I received the email. On opening the book the first page was gone. I checked the ISBN number and yes it is fake and completely different from that listed on the State Secretary’s Office. Please do not buy you will not be able to use to complete your class and submit documentation to the State Office. I returned the book immediately. Thank goodness I happened to pay attention to my email and immediately checked out the book before my upcoming class. Again DO NOT BUY!
  • Not organized well – hard to find specific or specialized topics – I printed out the statutes themselves from the SOS website and they are easier to understand and work with day to day.
  • I didn’t see the reviews about the counterfeit copies until just now, but the copy I received is the genuine article. I just frantically double-checked. I will look at taking some pictures and updating in a bit but I just wanted to point out that whatever the issue was with the misprinted books, it seems to have been resolved.
  • Fake!! Fraudulent!! Do not buy!! Thankfully I figured out it was not a legit copy before the class and was able to get an actual one from the campus bookstore for cheaper than here. Don’t waste your money!!
