I’m the envy of my entire platoon, because when I reference the Ranger Handbook, I don’t have to deal with a tiny miniature TC for ants, like some kind of savage.
This is a standard reference manual for Ranger students. Now while it is good reading, its techniques are intended for small, squad-sized patrols and platoon operations. Most of the tactics only are relevant to unit operations. It will not make your a one-man warrior. You can find samples free online, so do your research so you know if it is what you need or not. Good for soldiers, pre-Ranger and ROTC cadets, exactly what you need. All others, just interesting reading. 1st rule: “Don’t forget nothin.”
Probably the best US Army training manual ever published. This version has bold, sharp easy to read text.All kinds of information is in this book/manual from knots and rope techniques to small unit tactics. Anyone with a passing interest in US Army Rangers or special forces would enjoy it.
first off this book is to used as a reference to help through different scenario s that you may come across. now with that being said the book lays out to preform different task in military’s way. it is a good book for those who might think that they may need an edge if the USA goes down a bad path . so yes if want a good reference in book collection then yes i would highly recommend this book. thank you for having this in stock
It’s a lot more readable than the compact versions. Keep it on your study desk but also don’t let the size dissuade you from sticking this in your ruck sack. Only cons is that it doesn’t seem to have all the material from the smaller compact ranger handbooks, but I still need to go through it some more. Other con is that it might not fit in a typical ziplock bag of you’re going to be in the rain. Just get this and a smaller version honestly. Still 5/5 and would recommend to anybody who is in the ARMY or ROTC.
The paper used in this book is cheap be aware of not getting it wet or dirty they wrinkle easily, as far I can tell from the content it has like 20% of value for me, since I’m no military still has good and basic principles, of course for someone in the military will get much more value from it
I like getting the full-size versions of things when I need them and this is just that. It’s a current full-size copy of the Ranger Handbook. Get it to learn about tactics and fundamental Army doctrine.
Why sell a Kindle version that doesn’t work on Kindles???I pay for it and download it and when I try to open it there is an error message saying it is incompatible…
Good version of the publication in a larger format than usual which is much nicer for reading at a desk.Unfortunately there are some errors in the print, the most annoying of which is that someone has clearly copy and replaced “18” to “27th April 2017”, which ruins some of the charts and tables.
Outstanding book just got it and I’m honoured to have it very informative great read can’t wait to finish it I feel like a ranger already and I’m Canada lol👍🇨🇦🇺🇲
