  • I have the 7th edition which was given to me by a previous student. I bought the 8th because someone in my class swore up and down it was different and had more information and I honestly fell for it. I went through both to compare and they were the same, even the end “chapter” practice questions. The only informational difference I’ve noticed so far is there’s a “comprehensive test” in the 7th edition and the 8th edition doesn’t include it.The access code in mine worked and the book arrived clean and shrink wrapped. No issues there. I honestly like the 7th editions set up online, it works on a phone and iPad easier than the 8th edition, which seems okay for computer use. There’s just too many sections, boxes and movement going on with the 8th. The purple background is strong and distracting for me on the 8th as well. The 7th has a pale green set up, which is easier on the eyes and there’s no extra scrolling, it’s more simplistic. I’ve made mistakes reading what was correct vs incorrect on the 8th edition because of the extra scrolling needed. There’s just a few more, like 5-10 if that, questions added on per topic online.Spelling errors and some questions are confusing because the answer it says is correct/incorrect while in the rationale it explains why it’s not correct or correct in a contradicting manner. But that seems to be the theme with any of these books regardless what edition you have.If you have the 7th edition already, honestly save your money. If you don’t have a 7th or 8th yet, pick which ever one you want. Either way know they’re so similar and it won’t make a difference on which one you pick.Best of luck to all studying!
  • This is a good book. Straight to the point no nonsense or extra words. Just bullet points of facts. The access code is good too but doesn’t give you the option of focusing on one particular subject it just gives you all the questions of every subject but still good. I use this along side my assigned books for my class and my average grade went up a full ten points , there are practice questions at the end of each chapter some I have actually seen on my tests I highly recommend this book.
  • Amazing study material. Helped me pass the first time with the minimum about of required questions. I honestly didn’t end up using the actual book at all and only utilized the code for the online content, which you can purchase without buying the actual book, which is why I gave it four stars. However, those study questions with their rationals made me more then prepared and definitely helped me pass.
  • Evolve code does not have content!
  • I had been contemplating between the Saunders NCLEX-PN book or the flashcards for about 3 months. Well, I got a better bang for my buck with the book because of alllll the Evolve questions. I am currently in Med Surg 2 & wanted this book because of the wonderful reviews and an additional resource to solidify my knowledge. I am already satisfied because just in the few days I studied over a few chapters, I passed Finals & my Nutrition ATI (Level 2) I enjoy studying in the free time I have to keep my mind fresh. (Don’t judge me lol) Ok, so the book is detailed with rationales, explains HOW to do process of elimination, and what keywords you should notice. Further into my nursing courses, Im confident that I will be three steps ahead when I finally do a REAL prep for NCLEX. Happy studying, Future Nurses!
  • I bought this to help me study. It’s a very nice book. I am still trying to learn how to read it. I just need to spend more time on it. But I did see how it explains answers and things so I’m really like that part.
  • Informative and easy to digest. Great for review and for use along other programs like Uworld.
  • I love this book. It has really helped me practice for the Kaplan practice tests as well.
  • I give 3 stars because some informations are not accurate and can cause you to lose points in the NCLEX. Also use other references to validate if it’s the correct content. Overall, it’s a good manual.
  • The book is good but the objective is very lessOnly 5 or 6 objective in one topic
  • I like the book
