I’m a school teacher and I wish they made these little box set for Every elementary reading level! These are SO great and they build your child’s confidence quick. This level is best for K-1st grade
I love these little readers. I have bought level a – d over the years and it helped my son get into reading. The books are only about 8 pages long so they don’t feel so intimidating for a new and unsure reader
my kindergartener was struggling to use the tools available to beginner readers (e.g. picture clues and sounding out words), so I bought this set for more practice at home. The past couple of weeks, I have seen significant improvement at home, and her teacher reported this morning that she’s also seen improvement at school. The stories are cute, interesting, and my kindergartener and I are enjoying them together.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THESE FIRST LITTLE READERS!!! I thought I would have to hire a tutor for my granddaughter Brie. We have had this and The Level C Readers for a couple of months and Brie is reading everything in sight. Her confidence is on 💯. She reads these to me while I prepare dinner and clean the kitchen. Her teacher told me about similar, costing over 100 dollars these are just as good, again, just as good. Very well put together and easy handling for her.
These books are good for preschoolers learning to recognize words and read, but the quality isn’t great. I am disappointed because the spines of the books, as seen in the photo, are already coming apart, and my daughter has had them for 2 1/2 weeks.
So cute and my kids will have a blast learning to read these.
Got it for a kindergartener to read. This book set is just perfect! Very age appropriate. Interesting stories for the target audience. It only has 8 pages or so thus it adequately keeps the attention span of a young one. Also the repetitive wording helps with word familiarity and site word learning. Each book is staple bound; paperback. Careful handling is needed for a long term use.
The books are tiny (see pic) four pages each with about eight total, short sentences per book.
My daughter is in grade 2, and is a little behind in her reading, and we haven’t found any books that’s she enjoys reading and then I found these book. They are perfect, only about 8 pages per book, which she is excited about because when a book has too many pages she gets discouraged, even if there are only 2 words per page.The sentences rhyme, which is also fun. She is definitely building her confidence with these books, I will be buying harder levels as we go!This level D is about a grade 1 level
My son is in grade 1, french immersion, and he was behind with his english reading especially after missing almost half a year of school due to the pandemic. Thankfully I bought “Teach your child to read in 100 easy lessons” – I highly recommend this book especially if your child struggles with reading and you don’t know where to start. After ~3 months of lessons he started reading the “Little Readers Level A.” He read each of those books at least 3 to 4 times each over about a 2 month period. At that point, he needed more of a challenge so I purchased this set (skipped levels B and C). He enjoys this set and it’s perfect for his level. Each book has about 3 sentences per page so it’s not overwhelming. Most words are easy for him but each page tends to have 1 or 2 words that are a little more challenging. The first thing he said was “These books are good!” The second thing he said was “I love this book” referring to the title “Hot Dog.” This makes me very happy because he doesn’t particularly enjoy reading. Make sure you keep the box to store the books.
I love these leveled books. Once you get your kid at the right level, it is so nice to see them master new words without becoming too frustrated. They can move up the levels at the right pace. The books are cute and some are funny, which my son enjoys. I recommend for the brand new readers, learning to read. For us these books were great for kindergarten.
Los libros son muy muy chiquitos, de aproximadamente 8 paginas cada uno. Son de pasta blanda, y el texto es grande y sencillo. Mi hijo de 6 años se los devoró en 30 minutos pero le gustaron mucho porque son muy faciles de leer y rapidos. Asi que si él esta feliz, yo tambien. Me hubiera gustado un poco de mas paginas pero creo que sería mas cansado pra ellos, aunque es el nivem D y son muy sencillos, seguro el nivel A, B y C lo son aun mas. Es un Bonito producto de Scholastic que nunca falla.
My 7 and 5 year old really enjoy these books. Previous bought the first B&C set and had great success building their site words. Easy read, repeating words, colourful pictures. Definitely worth the money and variety.
