“As a preschool and elementary age educator, I greatly appreciate the simplicity, size, and content of My First Toddler Coloring Book and its focus on early education.”―Kelly Cable, preschool/elementary educator and blogger at”My First Toddler Coloring Book makes learning basic concepts FUN! I especially appreciate how the illustrations reinforce what toddlers learn in preschool, daycare, or what they see when reading children’s books.”―Hadar Maor,”Geared for young children, My First Toddler Coloring Book features bold lines and simple images to accommodate broad motion scribbling and coloring. The letters and shapes could easily be discussed and even traced over with a finger, but for young children, the emphasis isn’t on tracing these forms, simply on becoming familiar with them and their properties by having them in their environment in a variety of ways.”―Amanda Morgan, founder of Not Just Cute, Intentional Whole Child Development blog About the Author TANYA EMELYANOVA is a professional children’s illustrator whose work is characterized by stylish, bright and cheerful images. <div id="

  • Super cute! Simple educational images. Great for toddlers! I took mine to Office Depot and for $5 they cut off the binding and replaced it with a coil so my daughter could lay it flat and fold it in half. Highly recommend doing that as unless you do it’s hard for toddlers to keep it open while they work on it 💙
  • We ordered this coloring book in October 2020 and loved it so much that we ordered a new one when our old one was full. We just received the new book today and it’s significantly smaller. They’ve eliminated the following educational pages:*all of the pages that had JUMBO letters*10 pages of JUMBO numbers (with spellings below)*shapes being counted (1 circle, 2 squares, etc.)They added 20 pages of college-ruled lined paper at the end of the book. My 2 year old toddler can’t spell, let alone use college-ruled height lines. They only left the pages with small letters/numbers and pictures or just plain pictures to color. This book is definitely less educational than it was 8 months ago and extremely disappointing.
  • My 2yr old loves this book. I do too! First I took it to Office Max to get the spine spiral bound so that she could color without it folding over on her. (Thanks to a tip from another mommy in the Amazon reviews!!) Cost about $5 and only took 5 minutes!Pros- pages are thick making them easy for her to turn, thick enough that she can use a lot of pressure coloring back and forth but page doesn’t tear, variety of simple illustrations, pages aren’t too busy so she -and I- can focus on one learning objectiveCons- wish there were more single and double syllable words.
  • We loved this the 1st time I bought it, but I just had to order a 2nd one and they’ve apparently changed the coloring book. All of the individual Letter and Number pages are gone, and there are only 48 pages (including the title pg and 2 empty pgs at the back). Unfortunately the chunks of pages missing were my daughter’s favorites (she’s 20mos so the large letter and number pages were perfect for her). Amazon was great to send a replacement but it was the same abridged version of the coloring book I thought I was buying. The seller needs to update this page with accurate information.
  • Cute book, my daughter seems to like it. Major downside is that the pages don’t stay open well at all, so the book is always closing or falling off the table. I wish the spine had been better designed for little hands to hold this open.
  • This coloring book is absolutely wonderful for learning toddlers. Each page is simple and uncluttered with a thickly drawn image which makes it very simple to point out and teach as you move along the pages. I love that this is simple and uncomplicated unlike most other similar choices out there. It’s a wonderful learning tool and plan to get more as gifts. The ONLY gripe I have is that I just wish this came ring bound for easy page turning! That would make this as perfect as can be in my eyes. I haven’t found another coloring book that comes close to this one as far as simplicity and being organized goes. You’ll find this has images like animals, your abc’s, numbers and helps teach counting as well. Color me impressed… pun intended ;P
  • We gave this as a “just because” gift to our son. He opened it and promptly hugged it while saying “hap-py”. So cute 😀 Once we got to drawing, they’re nice easy images. He loves to scribble in each of the pictures (for example, there are 5 frogs on one page). He’s less enthused about the set of letter-only pages, but he likes the pages with a letter and an accompanying image (P – plane). Overall, he’s willing to color in the more complicated books, but he really lights up and seems to grasp what he’s doing more with this one. Kudos to the creators!
  • This is a great 1st coloring book for a toddler. My 17 month old enjoys it (even though he doesn’t quite get it yet). I bought him some jumbo crayons since his dexterity isn’t great because of his age. While he’s coloring, I use it as a teaching moment to go over his colors as he is coloring as well as whatever is on the page.I love that the pictures on the page are super simple (and get more comlex as the book progresses).
  • Plenty of things to draw, the granddaughter loves it
  • Very good, very pleased.
  • Purchased for my 20 month old. Put a spiral boynd on it as suggested by most reviewers and its wonderful. Pictures/letters/numbers are large and simplewhich are a plus for a toddler this age. My toddler hasn’t really used it quite yet but i know she will love. Good number of pages for amount paid.
  • A mi hija le encanta, lo usa para colorear pero con sus 2 añitos ya sabe leer hasta 10 y ahora con este libro hemos empezado a leer el abecedario….ya vamos por la D y de maravilla! Lo recomiendo.
  • such a big book in size for such small kidsyet it’s a nice one
