This book was exactly what I was looking for. It allows a beginner to easily understand the foundation of coding, and then dig in further to being writing code. I work for a tech company, and while I don’t need to write code, I wanted to understand the fundamentals better when talking with our developers. This gave me what I needed and more. Great book!

Great book for web based coding and getting started. But get the python book if you want to do non web based coding.

Great resource with many tutorials to do online. Previous version does not have all of the books, and this choice is great for newbies and for those who want to write code and write it correctly.

I’m just getting started in teaching myself. This is a nice start. I do feel that I will need more books in the future but this is a good starting point for beginners.

I bought this as a gift so I didn’t open the box until I got ready to wrap it. The book was sticky, gritty and dirty. It was clearly used.

This is a great resource and covers the basics! You definitely want to pair it with other resources if you’re serious about learning programming, but it’s a fantastic reference.

My 15 year old grandson really likes this book. I have no knowledge of coding but he does and is basically teaching himself coding. He said it was informative and has helped him.

I wish it had more about assembly code, but I can use it for other types of coding. It will be a huge help.

I have been coding for over four decades, starting as a young teen with BASIC. Since then I have picked up many degrees in Computer Science, and used to teach coding in University and to corporate and military clients. Finding decent books on coding is often a challenge, as many books are written either too simply, or dive into complex subjects too fast for the reader to keep up with. While looking for a book for a teen friend who wanted to learn programming, I came across this book.While the description is 9 book in one, it’s really one book touching on various aspects of coding. The focus is on web coding, more than anything, dealing with front-end scripting languages. The approach is fine, and steps the reader through the subjects at a decent pace, although it’s up to the reader to actually get hand-on (the more you code, the better you are). The “books” on machine learning are, I think, inappropriate in an introductory coding book, but readers may find it interesting and a look at some more advanced subjects. There’s no real high-level language tuition here, as the focus is Web and Web-based applications. So you won’t learn any of the .NET languages here.The tone and pace of the book is good, and there’s enough examples of code practices to help illustrate the subject. As a front-end Web coding manual, this is a good introduction to the subject. It will get the reader to the point where they can code basic apps, and then continue to learn themselves as they expand their knowledge.

Did not do what it says all the inforamtion in it is just info on where and how to learn coding did not teach a single thing about coding

Bought for my husband. Good starting point for introduction to coding. Starts with easy theory/tasks developing into more complex problem solving.

Very broad look at coding, fab for any beginner who wants to dip their toes into coding

Fantastic book for the price that i payed, bargain considering it covers many areas of coding.
