These appear to be written for a different version of the game than we have, not the newest update, but perhaps for the PC version. There are things included that are not found in the new Xbox One Better Together edition, which is a pretty big bummer as I can’t find anything in the book or here on the description that says this, so we can’t always tell if something will work with our Xbox One version. Wish that was mentioned somewhere!

These are perfect for the beginning minecrafter. Mine were bought for a 7 year old. He carries them around like a teddy bear.He did learn some cool new things from these but let me know he knew MOST of what these books had to say. I wouldnt buy these for an established minecrafter. Only a beginner.

I’ve been playing minecraft for 10 years, my nephew just started playing it, I bought these books for him. As a person above me said, these books will be missing some information about the game, but theres just so much within the game and so much stuff has been added through updates, that not a single book could cover all the possibilities. Rated 5 star for how thick and nice these books are

The books came fast. Items came as described new and wrapped in plastic. They did smell brand new. This is a great edition to your gaming library. You can look up a lot of stuff in the books but there is stuff I found out only in the books. So I have to say I was surprised. My little one loves them to. Just a over all great reference to own if you love Minecraft. I recommend and enjoy

I’m a beginner, so I need help in some areas of the game. These books cover a lot of ground but don’t exactly provide step-by-step instructions of how to do things. For example, the red stone book shows how to make a circuit with pictures but doesn’t instruct the reader how to do it. The author doesn’t provide the steps it takes to get the end result. The books are full of information but in the end I still feel lost yet informed.

My 8-yr- old son loves these books. Very detailed… he is always telling me new, exciting things he’s learned.

I had seen some of the Minecraft books while volunteering in school library. Minecraft books were frequently checked out there, especially by the 4th and 5th graders. our 11 year old boy requested this set when he saw them on Amazon. He enjoyed looking through the books, but has not used them as reference as much as I thought he would.

All these books are great. Helpful info and good illustrations. Learned tons about this game and it’s all in one place to reference while you play. Printing and paper is all good quality too.

These books come in a box set, and the books are hardcover. The box set is both smaller in height/width and thickness than I imagined (there aren’t nearly as many pages as I would have guesses – however – I didn’t check the details of the product before ordering). In any case my son loves the set and the graphics in the pages showing the elements of the game.
