Do not buy this! I recently read that Amazon sells pirated books (because they don’t check–they take the money no matter what they sell)– which means, not only are the prints not authorized–which is a legal issue, but for the consumer experience, it’s detrimental as well. This box set is printed on such coarse paper (paper feels like industrial pulp), the ink becomes blurred and hard to read. Worse yet, I gave them to my daughter (who is too young to know about print quality and thus never complained), and she had to squint through volumes of this crappy print that totally ruined her eyesight, before I realized what was going on. Amazon–you need to do better than this!
Beautiful covers and tough packaging. Bought these for my neices and nephews. I can read them but they are having trouble because the print on the pages. Several are blurry like this and book 1 (currently in my neices possession) has several pages with light spots down the middle and you can barely make out the words. They keep bringing the books to us for help. Haven’t been into the other 4 books yet. I imagine they will be similar.

I was never a Harry Potter fan when the first few books came out. I only became a fan when the first movie was playing in theaters. I went to see it in November, unhappily, since a younger cousin had rented a theater for his birthday and cousins my age were going. I originally wasn’t happy to be there but that quickly changed as I was hooked within the first few minutes. Later that month I received the first 2 books for my birthday. After reading the first 2 books I purchased the other books available at the time, read them, and then bought the remaining books in the series as they became available. I still have the hardcover books on a bookshelf in my room.This box set was released as part of the 20th anniversary of the first book being released. I had wanted a boxed paperback set for a while but held off since I didn’t see anything that I “had to have” until now. This set is very nice and should be a must for any Harry Potter fan. I did read reviews of other boxed sets and saw some negative comments saying that some books had duplicate pages or even chapters. I looked over what I received and I don’t see any of those problems in any of the 7 books. The only negative I have is that my copy of the 7th book has a slight gap between the cover and the first page where the glue wasn’t applied as it was at the bottom. I’m not a big reader and I’m careful with my things so I don’t think there will be a problem with that area.What I like:-The books are a larger paperback size than what I have at home for other books from a different series.-The black and white covers are lovely and I like the picture all the covers create when they are next to each other.-The books have the first chapter of the next book at the very end.-The books seem to be the same size as the ones released individually so if something happens to a book you can easily replace it.-I can finally use the special bookmarks (pictured, and NOT included in the boxed set) that I purchased to use as I read each book.What I’m not crazy about:-The box the books get stored in is made out of cardboard – not the most appealing way to store the books but the box looks great, is sturdy, and it should keep the books in good condition for years to come.
Books are printed incorrectly I’m missing about half of one of the books. Pathetic
Great price, but it is all 7 books combined into one volume and one table of contents; which makes navigating to different books and chapters a bit more difficult than if they were 7 distinct books.
Bought this for our youngest child back in November. She just started reading it a few days ago and we just found out that Book 1 (Sorcerer’s Stone) is missing 33 pages (See Photo). Given how long its been since we bought the set, it’s not returnable. She is the first to read them. We now have a “new” set that is flawed/incomplete. I will say, the covers on the books are absolutely beautiful. It would be a really nice set with better quality control. Need to go through and see if the other books are missing pages.
The books are fantastic BUT in this combo pack: pages are missing, chapters are missing and since there are all 7 books together it would be nice to have a table of contents so it you wanted to read “The Order of the Phoenix” you could easily find it. VERY disappointed in this combination, it is nicer having the separate books.
The books are great! However, the font is too small and if put to regular reading, the cover starts wearing off – mine did in a month for Order of Phoenix. Also, as the photo shows, one of the pages of the books is missing – Deathly Hallows, page 17. Make sure you check once you’ve purchased the books! Lol disappointed.
Not very happy with this purchase. Ordered early November as a Christmas gift for my niece.She opened the first book and when turning the first page, the binding came apart and the pages started to fall out. There doesn’t appear to be an option for me to return this as It has passed the return date. Not happy at all
I love harry Potter series and this book was actually my turning point in reading not that I did not read before that but I was attracted to series and trilogy after reading this …now coming to the shipping…it was amazing since it came in one day time although I received my Order of Phoenix with a slight cut but it does look noticeable but never mind

Parabéns a Brian Selznick – o ilustrador.2) Mas os livros têm uma qualidade DECEPCIONANTE.Edições estrangeiras costumam ser frágeis, mas essas alcançam um nível inesperado (ainda mais pra uma edição especial de colecionador).Todos os livros são difíceis de ler sem causar danos.É difícil sequer abrir totalmente o mapa de Hogwarts, nas primeiras páginas, sem imediatamente marcar a capa e a lombada.A partir de “A Câmara Secreta”, os livros ficam rígidos e as páginas se deformam perto da cola quando abertas, característica de livros muito baratos no Brasil.Livros devem ser experiências confortáveis. É incômodo que um box tão caro e especial seja delicado assim, e não algo resistente que dure na estante.
A must read for children and adults alike. This book series is much more then witches, wizards, wand waving and magic. It has values of love, trust, friendship and family discussed through out the series. Doesn’t matter if you are 8 or 80, it’s never too early or late to pick up Harry Potter.
