This a book for mothers to fill out, so that their families can learn more about Mom and her past. The book is divided into sections, starting from Childhood all the way up to Motherhood. It seems to be about 100 pages, although there aren’t any page numbers.Each page has a question at the top of the page, followed by lines for Mom to fill out the answer. There is also a mini Family Tree page at the start, where you can fill in the names of some parents and grandparents. I did notice a typo on one page so far, (see picture- missing the word “have”), but that isn’t really a big deal to me.This is a fun way to learn more about Mom, as there are many details that the rest of the family might not know. The pages are big enough that we taped some old photos onto certain pages, so that there is a visual representation of what was written down too. A fun way to create a little Mom-oir!
I love the inside, great questions, but front cover had bends and corner worn. It was supposed to be a Mother’s Day gift. 😕
Can’t wait to give this to my mother for mother’s day. A great way for me to learn more about her and to have for the rest of my life.
I bought this for my boyfriend’s mom for mother’s day. She loved it! She already filled out half of it. It brought back a lot of memories for her and it was cool to hear the stories. My boyfriend will treasure it when she is done filling it out.
The product is great how ever been screwed on shipping is not nice
I hate to be ungrateful, but this is a very simplistic book. My kids already know 99% of these answers! It may be nice for a new mom who thinks her kids will actually look through it one day, but my kids are 25 and 30. There’s nothing intriguing about these answers unless you didn’t grow up with your actual mom. Sorry. No takers here. This book is for a kid – not a mom. Yes, a mom fills it out but it’s not a gift FOR HER. This mom got it for Mothers Day, and my kids will never read this book.
When I was younger (my early teenaged years), my mama shared a diary of hers that she kept when she was a teenager. It was pretty helpful for me to read about the events and feeling she felt while she was going through that period of her life.I am now a mother, and I have a child of my own, I would like for my mother to share certain stories of her life that we could memorialize in a book and cherish.I remember in school, I had to do a project where I interviewed an “elder.” I chose my father because my professor said that our interviewees only had to be over the age of 40. Since I was a daddy’s girl, I was extremely close with him and my father often shared stories with me, but I learned a few more things that I had no clue about, after that interview. Unfortunately, my father passed away suddenly, and I was forever grateful for that class assignment that allowed me to memorialize his story.Our time here on Earth is undetermined, and even though you might think you know everything about your mother, you never know you might learn something new, like I had with my Dad.I’m excited to learn more about my Mom and for her grandchild to also. My mother has been through so much, even after losing a child and a husband, she still remained resilient and held it together for me and my siblings. She deserves to make sure her story is carried on…or for someone to say “I want to hear your story.”
My mom was so happy with this journal. It is beautiful.
