I got this product for my dad as he is the hardest one to shop for. He doesn’t have any hobbies and likes very few things. He’s has ASD and typically just watches TV all day or goes to the grocery store. He never reads or writes, but I got him this and encouraged him to start writing and he loves it! 🥲Thank you, Amazon. I think he’ll continue doing prompted journals after this because he loves it now.
I’m in my 70’s and my daughter has been after me for a while to write down some personal and family history. I’ve started several times but just had trouble organizing how to present it and gave up. I saw this book and decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did. My handwriting is too shaky to actually write in the book but I’ve used the questions as a guide as I wrote on my computer.
It’s awesome, this thing is great! My dad doesn’t usually open up often. This should help me and future generations get to know what a great guy he is.
Its perfect
I got a book each of the male family members in my family. I hope they fill them out to leave a beautiful history for each of their families, in their own hand writing. After loosing my father, I wish I had one of these books to read and treasure all the facts of his life, but now each of our family members can do this for their families.
Although, it had some questions that I thought would be beneficial to add to a life story of my parents and grandparents, I was highly disappointed that they felt the exact same questions would be of interest to all the different roles of people in your life. The questions are all basically the a version of the ones you find on the internet for free and none of them are personalized to the theme of the book. I guess we will use it as a guide as we go through the list. Also, be prepared to download additional questions off the website, by entering an email address that you can get additional promotional and spam from. I really wish it would be worth the cost to return these, however, I will just be donating them to the library.
I am going to return this because the print is so small! I was going to use it with a tape recorder to get history from my Dad. When I opened the book, I could barely read it. The print is small and light colored.
Great gift to buy to learn more about a family member
After my best recently lost her father and realising how much the small/simple things like his handwriting & words are missed so much, I think this is a perfect keepsake and something nice to do together whilst we can.. Good bit of bonding time

The book itself is fine enough but the product has arrived covered in weird greasy fingerprints and smudge marks, as well as a scratch on the front cover. I’ve tried removing the grease with no success. No longer suitable to give as a gift and entirely ruins the product.
Great for a keepsake and good value for money
