  • Absolutely disgusting! This books is not appropriate for kids?. Only a SERIOUSLY CONFUSED person would write such a book!
  • Bought this book after my teen requested it.i researched it, but couldn’t find any content to view. Purchased it & got a disturbing suprise. Very graphic “comic” style book about one person’s sexual experiences. I’m 49, it left images I understood, but didn’t want to see. Not recommended. Returned quickly for refund.
  • So disgusting! If you like porn then you’ll like this book! Stop sexualizing our teens with your pornography!!! They are children and CHILDREN DON’T NEED TO SEE THESE GRAPHIC IMAGES!
  • The images and language in this book have no place on a bookshelf or anywhere near children, which is the target audience for this book. It shows oral sex, homosexual sex, etc. Please do not think this is teaching material. It is intended for grooming.

  • As a 27 year old who has recently come to terms with being non-binary, I really wish I had read something like this sooner. I do not identify with everthing the artist has experienced but enough that it makes me feel seen. I am not alone and neither are you. ♡
  • READ TW BEFORE READINGThis is a really deep dive in gender and sexuality told in a honest I haven’t ever seen before. I think this is a really good book for anyone in the queer community, particularly if you’re asexual / non-binary / trans. Parts were hard to read because of how brutally honest they were, I felt myself tear up more than once.
  • I read this book out of curiosity after reading about it in the news regarding some books objected to at a school board meeting in America. The only thing that I found in the book that I objected to was on page 218 (?) Where God’s name was used in vain. I don’t like it, but that’s just me. I think that this book is very EDUCATIONAL for the right kind of people!!!!
  • A ‘road less travelled’ is hard for those whose journey has been straightforward to understand. This ‘out of the ordinary’ book beautifully and powerfully expresses the emotions, thoughts and feelings throughout Maia’s pathway from childhood to adulthood. Maia’s openness enables readers to in some small way understand the intricacies of what it is to be human and how important, in fact crucial it is to find and be ourselves. The weaving of words speech and pictures gives the story greater depth. Thank you Maia !
  • I love how neat the story goes. It all makes sense, which is not easy for such a complex subject as gender is. The art helps, no doubt about it.Of course, telling your own story will always allow others to feel it closer. However, the brave autobiographical part is not the only merit in this book. In my opinion, here the author manages to portray such an intricate and complex personal process of self discovery in a quite relatable way. I’d say that even cis people will be able to share some of the the moments of intimate realisation that are intelligently introduced among the different chapters.At the very least, this book will help us all to better understand our friends, our families, our social interactions, and surely ourselves! That’s why I highly recommend it.
