  • This book is great. Gives you some great insight. A lot of Unit Photography, Concept Art, Concept Sketches, VFX 3-D Renders, Film Stills and Graphics. Some of the concept arts tend be on the darker side but they were obviously intended this way to show the feel of what has become the movie. The lightings on those darker arts are actually beautiful. I’ve uploaded the maximum amount of images I could post and there are so much more to see. Just wanted to show you that it’s not at all hard to see these beautiful images as some other reviewers say. The print quality is great. Photography images are sharp. Concept art images quality are great for what they’re suppose to be, since they were only intended for the movie which is why it’s called concept art [not print quality finished artworks]. I honestly wish there was more but it’s good amount to flip through and enjoy. I recommend it if you’re a fan of the movie or Batman in general. Cool book to own and add to your art book collection 😉
  • I don’t know if it’s the paper or print process but the images are home printer level reproductions. The values are mush, color is non-existant, and the artwork is borderline blurry.I love art of books and own several. With artwork at this caliber, and with already muted and understated imagery, they should have put more effort into reproduction. It’s damned near impossible to see what you’re looking at.The only reason this doesn’t have 1 star is because the artists represented in the book deserve something. As far as a book goes I highly recommend against this one.
  • This is a pretty standard art book for the new Batman movie. There is a Foreword by Matt Reeves, an Introduction by James Field, a “Who’s Who” section, and then seven main chapters. There are a total of about 220 pages.The seven main chapters are :1 – Vengeance : The Batman2 – Justice : The Riddler3 – Honor : Lt. Gordon4 – Retribution : Selena Kyle5 – Power : Falcone and The Penguin6 – Despair : Gotham City7 – Hope : The Need for a HeroEach section contains behind-the-scenes information about the movie; from comic source material, to concept art, to rough sketches of costumes and vehicles, and more. There are also quotes and mini-interviews from the filmmaking team and some cast members.If you are a huge fan of this movie, you might enjoy reading about some of the inspiration for the scenes and story, and seeing all of the detailed designs behind some of the equipment. Some of the artwork is pretty cool also, though most of it is dimly lit/dark scenes; which makes sense because of the tone of the movie. I personally think the book is okay, but it is pretty expensive, so likely only worth it if you are a mega-fan of this movie.

  • The Art of The Batman is a fantastic book that details some of the designs of the film, including insight from the filmmakers on the creative decisions from concept to the final product seen in the film. It is a beautifully-detailed hardcover book that has a lot of attention to the designs, from the Batsuit to the tone of the film’s Gotham City and the characters. For the film fans who love the film, this is a great book.
  • The artwork shown in this book is superb, and the text inserts from crewmembers are very interesting. I like the way the separate the chapters by titles like Vengence, Justice, Hope, etc. The in depth look at Batman’s suit and the Botmobile, as well as the Batcycle are really cool, and seeing the design sketches is even better. If you are a fan of the movie and a sucker for visual dictionaries like me, you’ll love this book.
  • I was really excited to receive this book, considering all the great concept art we got to see before the release of “The Batman”. Sadly, that book still needs to be put together. Although there is some great art here, it is dwarfed by movie stills, gadget info and such. I was disappointed by the lack of concept art for many of the main characters, for sure. Still, some nice stuff is included and it does serve as a fine companion book to the film.

  • I wasn’t a huge fan of the movie at first. I just got done going through this book. There’s some absolutely gorgeous artwork in here. But also, it made me appreciate the movie a little bit more. There’s tons of little details that I completely missed that are mentioned in this book. Highly recommend.
  • El libro está bien organizado en siete capítulos, cada uno para un personaje (incluyendo Gotham). Cada capítulo contiene imágenes de las grabaciones, los diseños de los sets, arte conceptual, vestuarios de los personajes y entrevistas al equipo de producción y casting. Incluso, en algunos imágenes se hace el uso del 3D. Una de las mejores cosas del libro es que nos muestra como el propio Bruce fabrica su coche, moto y gadgets y lo apunta todo en un diario.A nivel estético el libro es impecable, pero ciertamente los fans de la película lo encontrarán un tanto “incompleto”. Algunos ejemplos:- Al personaje “drifter” solo se le dedica apenas 2 páginas y en ninguna de ellas se muestra el gran detalle de los restos del maquillaje negro de los ojos, pese a que se menciona en una entrevista.- Si bien el modelo 3D y el arte conceptual del batitraje son muy bonitos, se echa de menos conceptos de batsuits alternativos y más fotos del actor con el batsuit puesto.- En el apartado de Selina se echa de menos imágenes reales del interior de su departamento (el cual no se aprecia en la película por el tono noir) así como imágenes de más outfits: tanto los que usa a lo largo de la película como trajes alternativos de Catwoman..- En el capítulo de Riddler no se muestra en ninguna ocasión a Edward con la vestimenta de prisionero de Arkham, cuando es una escena crucial de la película.Por cosas como estas no puedo darle al libro unas 5 estrellas, realmente creo que necesitaba al menos unas 20 páginas más. Pese a ello, es un artículo 100% recomendable para los fans.
